Hailing from Zurich, VORAX plays uncompromising old-school death metal in the tradition of Bolt Thrower, Asphyx, and Monstrosity. On their debut album “Volcano Shock”, the band merges primeval themes with crushing riffs, heavy grooves, and analogue-forged brutality. Dinosaurs, volcanic eruptions, and mass extinctions collide with rolling mid-tempo riffs, ferocious solos, and a steamrolling rhythm section.
Featuring members of Messiah, Omophagia, and Death Kommander, VORAX combines decades of underground experience with an uncompromising DIY mindset. From a custom-built studio to restored vintage gear, everything is crafted entirely in-house—true to the spirit of death metal’s golden era.
