Balancing between tragic reality and grim fiction, Voice of Ruin draws lyrical inspiration from both humanity’s darkest historical episodes and a dystopic future ravaged by sickness and madness. Musically, the band’s blend of classic and contemporary influences resists simple categorization: driving Melodic Death Metal fused with potent touches of Groove, Thrash, and Black Metal.
Founded in 2008 in the French-speaking region of Switzerland, Voice of Ruin has maintained an relentless worldwide touring presence. The group boasts more than 250 performances under their belt, sharing stages with heavyweights such as Sepultura, Cannibal Corpse, Children of Bodom, Hatebreed, Skindred, Jinjer, Obituary, Samael, and The Black Dahlia Murder.
Following acclaimed records—including 2017’s “Purge and Purify”, tracked in the UK with Romesh Dodangoda (Motörhead, Sylosis) which spurred tours across Europe, India, and Nepal, and 2019’s “Acheron”, recorded at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg with Fredrik Nordström—the band weathered global shutdowns before delivering “Cold Epiphany” in late 2023. That release brought them back across European stages and major festivals like Rock The Lakes, Gränichen Open Air, and Dortmund Deathfest.
In 2026, Voice of Ruin embarks on a bold new era. Armed with a brand-new EP, the band explores heavier, darker, and more mature musical landscapes while staying uncompromisingly true to the primal intensity and fury that have defined them since 2008.
