Anhegony

Founded in 2024 in the heart of Valais, Anhegony explores the contrasts between introspective darkness and cathartic violence. At the intersection of atmospheric black metal, deathcore, and post-metal, the band draws inspiration from the human psyche, mental health struggles, and the raw brutality of existence.

Anhegony is a portmanteau of “anhedonia” and “agony”—a sonic and emotional fusion driven by its five musicians. The band creates a dark, immersive, and powerful universe, oscillating between ethereal atmospheres and sonic outbursts, drawing influence from acts such as Dimmu Borgir, Gaerea, and Russian Circles, as well as the wild nature of Valais.

Anhegony brings together five musicians with complementary influences, united by a shared vision: artistic cohesion is at the heart of the project, with each member contributing their sensibility to an organic whole. Together, the members craft music that explores extremes—from misty introspection to liberating fury—with profound emotional intensity. Building on solid individual experience gained from other live projects, this maturity strengthens their cohesion and drives them forward with ambition and dedication from their very first compositions.

In the fall of 2026, Anhegony released their debut six-track EP, designed to introduce listeners to their musical world. The band is also affiliated with the Highbex Collective, which supports their artistic development.
