Aetherian

Atmospheric Melodic Death Metal from Athens. Drawing inspiration from Greek tradition, untamed nature, and the decay of modern civilization, Aetherian delivers epic melodies and emotional weight.

Hailing from the southern shores and the windswept mountains of the ancient lands of Greece, Aetherian draws inspiration from the sorrow and lament embedded in their tradition. From the Pindus mountains to the Aegean Sea, their music speaks for the forests and storms, for loss and grief, and for the decay of modern civilization.

Formed in 2013, Aetherian quickly built a dedicated underground following with their 2015 EP “Tales of our Times” and the viral 2016 video clip for “The Rain”. They expanded their international reach with two critically acclaimed full-length albums on Lifeforce Records: “The Untamed Wilderness” (2017) and “At Storm’s Edge” (2023), both earning widespread recognition across prominent metal publications such as Metal Hammer, Decibel, MetalSucks, and No Clean Singing.

Alongside their main releases, the band has delivered impactful standalone singles, including 2020’s environmentally conscious “Primordial Woods” (featuring Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ) and 2025’s deeply personal “The Great Beyond”. On stage, Aetherian has forged an impressive live reputation—supporting heavyweights like Lamb of God, Septicflesh, Nightrage, Unto Others, and Wayfarer, opening the “40 Years of the Apocalypse” tour with Vader and Vomitory (2023), embarking on two headline tours across Europe and the Balkans (“Wilderness over Balkans” 2022 and “Ethereal Abyss” 2026), and performing at major festivals including Summer Breeze Open Air.

With their third full-length album “Fall of Civilization”—mixed by Septicflesh’s Psychon and slated for release in late January 2027—Aetherian is ready to unleash their next chapter on stage.
